Zara kids= cool kids!

Had a little shopping spree on Zara kids earlier this week. I love Zara's range for boys, it's so cool and unique and always has fresh new styles for kids. We're spending the first week of Easter in Cornwall hence the mini spree and It's much harder to pack for a UK hol than an abroad holiday because the weather is unpredictable, so it's better to have too much than too little right? That's my excuse anyway ;)

Here's a few cool little buys for my boys.

I've been dying to get Finlay into a denim jacket and have been searching for a vintage Levi's one on eBay which wasn't proving to be very successful, but obvs zara had one that suits perfectly and he looks awesome in it if I do say so myself.

All from Zara and at a reasonable price- Win!

Warehouse summer loveliness!

Having a little online browse on Warehouse and came across some gorgeous summer must haves. I love a vibrant print in summer and these are perfect.

This shirt dress is so lovely, if the sun makes some form of appearance soon I will be needing this. Great with summer flats.

This is a great Co-ord set but, although they do look fab together, I don't think I would be brave enough for the set. However they could be worn seperatley. The shorts would go well with a tucked in Cami or White Tshirt and the top with jeans maybe.. Hmmm.

A-mazing sunnies. These are going straight in my shopping basket. Best glasses ever!

Perfect summer accessories. I'm such a hat enthusiast and this white Panama is gorgeous for any summer outfit.

All we need now is some sun :) x

Terrible two's?

The past week or two has been really quite difficult with Roman "terrible twos" has hit us hard. Tantrums and hissy fits galore. I'm hoping very much that it's just a bad week and it'll pass, you know how people say "oh it'll pass" well here's hoping as I could do with loosening my strict mother cap a little. Anyhow, he may have been a little so and so lately but I love taking photos of my boys when they're having a little potter around in the garden.

Double Denim- not such a crime after all!

For a long time double denim has been known as a huge fashion crime, a big "no go". However, it's seems to have had a major turn around and quite frankly, I'm all for it!

I adore Olivia Palermo- she is everything I would like to be as far as style is concerned and this look is perfecto! I desperately need to buy a denim pencil skirt.

Mirander Kerr is one of my favourite stylish Moms. She always looks utterly amazing even on a dress down day with her little boy, I guess that's why she's a VS model ;) working the double denim here.

Oh Alexa, do you ever get it wrong? Nope! I simply LOVE this. The shoes, the coat and of course the denim on denim.

And here is my own version.

Shirt- H&M • Jeans- Primark • Shoes- Dune

Girls night out

As it was my birthday it would have been rude not to have a girls night out. I always  find "big nights out" difficult to dress for as im much more of a casual dresser and don't really do "glam". After much internet browsing at dresses and not being able to find a single one thats not bodycon, that covers my arms, not too frumpy, not too sexy I decided to scrap the dress and put my black Skinnys together with my black blazer and go for smart/classy.

My fave part of the outfit has to be the shoes from Office.

Blouse- Topshop • Blazer- Topshop • Shoes- Office

Ring- H&M • Necklace- River island • nail varnish- Chanel

Summer home

I was having a little browse online at Joss and Main and decided I would like to re decorate my entire house- do you ever do that? Damn you lovely home interior shops. They have some great summer themes bohemian and oriental which I'm liking a lot. These are a Few of my favourite picks.

Banana bread

Finlay was off school yesterday, so we used our over ripe bananas to make a banana loaf. We usually throw them out but decided to make use of them. Now, the last time I made one my husband said it wasn't "bananary" enough so I put an extra banana in this one which actually made it a little soggy so I'm thinking I won't be listening to my husband in future when it comes baking. It was still very yummy though, I sprinkled some brown sugar on the top before baking which gave it a nice sugary crunch. I got this recipe off BBC good food.

A day in Notting Hill

So as an early birthday treat to me, husband and I went to London for the day on Saturday. We did things a little differently this time and decided to stick around Notting Hill and go to portobello market and a few coffee shops, do lunch etc all very chilled. Which we did, however the weather wasn't up to much,  Very cold so did end up indoors- the Westfield to be exact (oh well ;) ).

I love Notting Hill and its colourful houses so much, it what my dreams are made of. I spent a good portion of the morning just taking photos of houses.

Rainbow houses in Portabello Road.

Crockery heaven.

We had breakfast in this little pub called The sun in splendour where we had a cracking full English

Nutella crepe- omg!

The Hummingbird bakery in Notting Hill. I really wanted to try a cupcake but it was very busy. Which only means I'll have to go again. :)

Amazing house in Chelsea.

We ended up in here on the evening with my brother and sister in law. It's a really cool place with a great vibe and food. We enjoyed our self so much so that we missed our train home. Oops!

It was a great trip all in all. One of my favourites. X

OOTD!

Coat- Zara • Skinny jeans- Primark • Leopard flats- Dune • Sweatshirt- Topshop.

Gettin' skirty!

Can't wait for a bit of warmth so I can tan up my legs and throw on a skirt. I very rarely wear skirts but I bought a leather one from zara last year and now I'm all for skirts. These are a few im hoping to get my hands on.

Never thought I'd be saying this anytime after 1996 but I love this denim pencil skirt. It's from warehouse and I need it in my life. Will look so good with a tucked in T shirt and chunky necklace and flats or heel, either would work!

The pleated midi skirt was big last year, but how about the pleated MINI skirt eh? Ahar! This is from Topshop, and I'm thinking about it with some kind of sweater. Very tennis chic. Love it!

Very much Liking this front split orange skirt from Topshop. Burnt orange is my favourite orange and this is just gorge!

Fringe!

Now and again, I fancy a fringe. I haven't had one since I was pregnant with Roman (2 and a half) so it was time.
Not without a good Pinterest search of course. Anyhow I'm very pleased with it, it's funny how a fringe can make you feel so different!

Long lasting tulips!

Tulips make me happy. There's not much else to say really. I've had these for over a week as my friend gave me tip to pierce the top of each stem and they will last longer.

Vase from Next home :)

A little book review.

We always make sure our boys have a good selection of new books as there are so many great ones on the shelf and some great deals in the supermarkets too. I picked up a couple of Julia Donalson's for Roman from Asda- Fox's socks and Postman bear. Only £3 each which I thought was a good price.
He loved them and didn't put them down so much so we even had to take them on the school run when collecting Finlay.
So obviously I completed the set and bought Hide and seek pig and Rabbits nap too. Cute books!

A little spring/summer wishlist!

Spring is definately springin' just lately which obviously means time to start thinking about the wardrobe. Here are a few items that I may need to purchase gradually over the next few months.

Love this floral jacket from Mango. And it's reversible, how cool is that. Great with a pair of jeans, a Tshirt and sandals. Or even with a little white cotton sundress. This is defo at the top of my list of must haves.

This pretty sun dress is from zara and is everything I love about summer. Cotton and smock. Perfect with a flat sandal and a long pendant necklace. Maybe even a summer fedora hat. I'm thinking very Sienna Miller ;)

It's no secret that I'm addicted to stripes so this boxy number will be in my wardrobe in no time ;). With a pair of denim shorts, ripped skinnys or maybe even a denim skirt, your good to Go!

I lurve these, ever since I saw a similar pair on the gorgeous Sincerly Jules, but when I looked them up they were around £600 maybe more- woah! So did a little Google search and found these in Office at £55.. eek!! I find office shoes, along with Dune as my fave shoe shop as their shoes last ages and are super comfy.  Perfecto!
 And here's a little spring/summer outfit scenario.

Dungarees!!!!

I've always had a thing for dungarees but thought they were only for pregnancy or hippies. However, I have changed my mind and purchased a pair for H&M. And I absolutely adore them! They had a selection of colours, blue denim, greyish black and black.. I went for black. Another bonus is that they have a skinny leg as I can't quite embrace the flare or wide leg just yet.

Dungarees- H&M • Top- Zara • Shoes- Dune.
