Outfit inspiration

A quick post of a little outfit inspo I've put together. A perfect look for a summer night out whether it's low key or "out out".

Wide leg Trousers are so on trend right now and I'm yet to own a pair. Loving this Topshop pair.

Denim off the shoulder top. With it being a little cropped, it would work great with these high waisted trousers. From New Look.

Last but not least. These shoes are everything. Also available in colours such as red (oh my!). From Topshop.

If your not really feeling the heels, these metallic flats are great. Also Topshop.

A fab mini break

We were invited to go to Babington House in Somerset for my Brother in laws birthday on Tuesday and as I've wanted to go there for a while we jumped at the chance. The place is amazing, which being part of the Soho House group, I didn't expect anything less.

Here are some pics I took on our stay.

Inside

Amazing entrance hall and living room.

The bar/restaurant where my husband introduced me to a "soho mule"- ickkk!

Our room

Such cosy and relaxing rooms. Everything you would want on a child free/work free escape.

Post massage. Their home made honey and ginger tea was delicious.

What I wore

Leather jacket- Topshop Boutique (old) • Stripey Bardot top- Primark • Skirt- Asos • Bag- Zara.

Same jacket and bag • Top- Zara • Dungarees- H&M.

Outside

There stunning exterior and the coach house where our room was.

The outdoor pool and poolside. I relaxed here with a coffee while the men played golf and my sister in law went for a massage- total bliss!

The stunning gardens. Complete with a lot of lavender and apple trees.

So there we have it, told you it was amazing. There's not much to say really, I think he pictures speak for themselves. We honestly had the best time and cannot wait to return.

I haven't posted for a while as our broadband has been down resulting in me not being able to use my laptop AT ALL! I know, it's been quite hellish, home really is where the Wifi connects ;)

Anyway as I'm back in the real I have a few posts starting with this quick one about recent boys buys.

All from Zara. Its cooled down a lot so these three tops have had to be bought. Great colours!

Finlay looking gorgeous in this mustard sweater on the Beach in Tenby.

Roman in his bear print sweat top. Very cute. Both tops great for summer and autumn/winter.

Glad to be back- hope you're having a great week :)

Short shorts!

So, recently I bought some incredibly short shorts from H&M. I've always loved ripped jean shorts but never actually purchased a pair, until now. I'm a bit bigger on top than I am on the bottom so don't mind getting a bit of leg out and if you don't mind either then these are perfect.

Here are a few different ways to wear them. Most of these items are old unless stated so pics are mostly for inspiration.

Khaki jacket and white tee.

Jacket- Topshop • Shoes- Office

Embroidered top

Top- Dorothy Perkins • Sandals- Asos.

Denim shirt

Hat- Topshop • Sandals- Asos.

Kimono

White shirt

Shirt- H&M • Beach bag- IKEA.

Converse

So another versatile item for summer or holiday. Can work in many ways and also super comfy and an easy wear. For a more dressed up look wear with a blazer and Cami and some heeled sandals or wedges or with a chiffon blouse and statement necklace. For cooler days light black tights, ankle boots and a shirt is a cool look.

 £19.99 at H&M. A great buy!

Fringe tastic

Ive been having quite a few compliments on my hair just lately and had a very over due hair appointment on Saturday. I haven't changed it, just had a little tidy up. I'm still very much loving my fringe, I have finally found a style that really feels like me and I've basically become a fringe enthusiast (weirdo) and finding myself admiring women's fringes.

Here are some of my fave fringe babes.

Alexa Chung • Jean Shrimpton • Jane Birkin • Bridgett Bardot.

Audrey Hepburn • Zooey Deschanel • Sienna Miller • Caroline De Maigret.

All very beautiful women with such strong fringe game. Messy untouched hair is the way forward for me. So easy and effortless.

My fresh hair.. Excuse the slightly crazy looking face :)

Hope you're having a great week!

Is it boot season yet?

Is it boot season yet? That's the question I keep asking myself since I saw these fab boots ankle From Topshop.

So great with Jeans or black tights in autumn/winter.

Also available in a lower heel which I think would be best for me personally.

I'm looking forward to autumn/winter shopping, mostly so I can justify buying these. Perfect with jeans, jumper and a trench coat or leopard blazer when the colder days come. Most definitely on my never ending wish list!

More dungies

Flicking through my wardrobe on Saturday I came across these dungaree shorts that I bought last year from eBay. They're Topshop and I love them and got them for such a bargain at £14. They are seriously comfortable.

Wearing them with plain white tee from H&M.

As these are old and no longer available in Topshop, I've found a few other pairs that are currently in stock in other shops.

From New Look.

From Boohoo.

Both pairs from Asos.

All good dungies for good prices. Great to pull out every summer, just don't forget you have them :)

Warehouse Angel dress

I've posted about this dress before on one of my wish lists and luckily it has ended up in the sale therefore ended up in my wardrobe.

From Warehouse. I love the sleeves, very angelic. Looks lovely with flat or heeled sandals and long pendant necklace to dress it up a little.

The sales have been so good lately, I'm glad I held out for this one. But don't hold out too long, get treating yourself ladies!

Have a great week!

All white everything

I didn't quite get the memo that Wimbledon was last week so I've pulled the tennis whites out this week ;). I love the freshness of white in the summer, although with little ones around we have to be careful.

Wearing this white pleated skirt with a white sweater and basic black sandals for a casual summer look. I love pleated skirts they're great for all occasions and styles. Day time with a Breton stripe top, denim shirt or basic tee. Evening with a Cami or blouse and pretty necklace.

Skirt- Asos • Sweater- Zara • Sandals- Asos • Bag- Zara.

Parisian street style

I'm such a big fan of Paris style. The simple, chic, effortless look of a Parisian woman is something I adore. I've just recently bought the book "Paris Street Style" which I've started reading briefly and I'm really enjoying it as I do "how to be a Parisian" some great looks and tips.

So, seeing as though I have this new book and it was 'Bastille day' this week I thought I'd do a little post about Parisian street style.

These are some gorge looks I've take from Pinterest.

All so classy and stylish. Simple colours blue, black, grey and white are key colours for a Parisian look.

"How to be a Parisian" has a list of essentials to nail the French style.

I've selected a few of the essentials- well, my favourites.

Trench coat

The Burberry trench coat is the most iconic trench of all. I have the Burberry Brit and it is an amazing coat. Although the price tag is a slightly high it really is an investment as it's such a timeless piece.. And let's face it, it looks and feels good!

Here are another selection I found on the high street.

Top left- Mango • Top right- River Island • Bottom left- Vila at Asos • Bottom right- Asos.

Breton stripe top

There is no better Breton stripe top than a Boden Breton stripe top. In my opinion anyway. Great quality, good price and so many different colours.

Men's shoes

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I bloody love brogues and loafers. They smarten up and add such style to any outfit. Patent ones have to be my faves!

Top left- Office • Top right- Dune • Bottom left- Boden • Bottom right- Office.

White shirt

The white is most certainly an essential. Classic, smart and sexy. Very versatile.
This one is from Topshop.

Little black blazer

Everyone should have one. It's basically no option. So versatile, it's a wardrobe must have!

Top left- Mango • Top right- Zara • Bottom left- Asos.

There is a list of other essentials, if you have this great book you will know. These are just my favourite items that will ensure you have that cool, classic style down to a T!
