Stylish Mamas holiday essentials

It's that time of year when families are jetting off or planning to jet off on holiday. As I've already done a swimsuit post, I've compiled some of my favourite holiday essentials from some of my favourite shops.

Sandals

I don't know about you but I find something very satisfying about putting on a brand new pair of sandals.. Actually that could just be shoes in general! But for the sake of this post we'll go with sandals ;)

Leopard lace ups? Yes please! These are from Topshop.

These three pairs are from Dorothy Perkins and there were much more where these came from, I found it hard to narrow down. Bravo Dotty P's! I love the jewelled pair for a more glam look without having to wear heels as we all know heels and looking after small children do not go well!

It wouldn't be a sandals post without ASOS. They have so many different styles at such good prices. These white cut out sandals with this broderie anglais feel are so pretty and will play off the suntan perfectly. Or let your inner boho out with these tan, tassel lace ups!

Got to love a bit of fringe. These are from Mango.

Beach bags

Another holiday essential is the beach bag. It's got to be big enough to fit all your beach bits n bobs; towel, cream, nappies, wipes, a book (if you're lucky enough to get time to read) and it also helps that it looks nice too. Here are my faves.

Top left; Next • Top right; H&M • Bottom left; Accessorize • Bottom right; Zara.

Top left; Oasis • Top right; River Island • Bottom left; Accessorize • Bottom right; Warehouse.

Sunglasses

I must admit I do have a little bit of a sunglasses addiction. I think I must have about eight different pairs. They are my favourite accessory. Although you can't go wrong with a pair of classic Raybans or Chanel there are so many stylish pairs on the highstreet.

Top left and right; ASOS • Bottom left; Warehouse • Bottom right; Zara.

Beach cover ups

Beach cover ups are most definitely an essential to throw over your bikini or swimsuit. Something comfortable and pretty, whether it's a dress or kimono, there are lots of great styles to work.

All from Topshop. These could work as dresses too. Win win!

Both from Mango. Loving the fringe and Paisley prints.

Such simplicity. Both from Next.

Dresses

So... Many... Dresses!

This dress is simply stunning! I want to wear it whilst skipping happily through a field. So dreamy! From ASOS.

Love this also. I already have it in my basket. Also ASOS.

I adore this floral maxi from Zara with gorgeous back detailing. Would also be amazing as a wedding guest dress.

Hats

Last but not least... Hats! You simply Can't go wrong with a straw fedora.

Top left and right; Warehouse • Bottom left; H&M • Bottom right; Zara.

So there we have it. Hope you've found some inspo to look and feel fabulous wherever you're holidaying this year.

Little dude style

I recently did a "boys style" post of the things I bought from Zara for my little men. As promised here they are in the items.

All from Zara. Shoes- Converse.

Floral polo top and skinnys Also Zara and  Converse from Office.

Super cute, handsome times!

Swim suit follow up

Here is a quick follow up on my swimsuit post. I was in sainsburys and found another little gem in the sale at only £9! Although I LOVE the swimsuits I shared in my previous post I went a little more low key for our trip to Alton Towers and decided on a simple navy number. However, should I be hopping a plane anytime soon I will definitely be purchasing one of the Topshop floral pieces.

Perfect shape and ruching effect around the waist to hide a few sins ;) a great bargain buy!

Swimsuit special

I had a little look for a new swimsuit as we're going to Alton towers water park in half term (yes you read that right) no exotic holidays happening anytime soon but I'm excited all the same and I still need a new swimsuit. There are so many that I liked that are flattering and cover my not so flat stomach. Here's a few of my fave picks.

I love these high wasted bikini pants. They're so Marilyn Monroe. Flattering and stylish. Both of these are from Topshop.

Loving this stripey nautical number from Boden.

This ASOS is currently in the sale for £7!

From Next. You can't go wrong with all black everything when it comes to a swimsuit and I love the frilly over lay on this one.

Thanks for taking a look. *off to browse at holidays* ;)

Boys style

I love a good Zara purchase especially when it's for my boys as they do not stop growing :( Zara do the best kids clothes, so many quirky and cool T shirts and not to mention the cute selection of skinny joggers and trendy jackets. Here's a few things I've picked up recently.

I will try and get some snaps of them wearing the items if they can keep still  long enough for me to take them :)

Sunday style

I love a bit of a mash up of styles, for example teaming a floaty white lace top with ripped jeans and studded ankle boots- as I did yesterday! Boho meets rock chick!

Top- Zara TRF • Studded Boots- Office (sale) • Necklace- River island • Jeans- Primark.

I ripped the knees on the jeans myself. Just simply marked with chalk where I needed the rips and cut with scissors and frayed them a little and that's it- done!

Have a good week! :)

Well done sainsburys!

I was having a potter around sainsburys earlier on in the week and came across this cricket/tennis jumper (not really sure which sport to go with) and absolutely loved it. Cable knit, navy (my fave) and over sized- perfect. At £16 I grabbed it almost as fast as I grab myself a bar of Lindt hazelnut (so delicious)... Anyway, back to jumpers, even though it's summer soon and knitwear isn't usually on the agenda, this one can be as it would go great with denim shorts or white jeans for those cooler summer days or over your outfit for a summers night. Whatever the weather, I love it and will probably live it.

I was hoping they did a cream version too but so far I haven't spotted one. I will be keeping my eye out for it though- fingers crossed!

Old converse.. New converse

Just lately Roman's feet have been growing at a rapid rate and I've been renewing his shoe collection quite frequently- even more than my own (what the...?!!). As I usually go for the trusty converse for both my boys I thought about all of Fins old pairs, that I ended up throwing in a bag and shoving in the bottom of his wardrobe without a second thought. So I had a rummage through and came across three pairs that were Romans size. A quick cycle in the washing machine and they're good to go. They're not perfect but who likes sqeaky clean chucks anyway? ;) As if I was going to actually  buy some more!

Et voila! These ones were always my fave colour when Fin had them and they don't seem to do them anymore so good job I restored them Eh?!

I'm definitely going to be more mindful of what I shove in bin bags from now on :)

Studded boots

I've always loved the Amazing Chloe studded boots and recently Anine Bing but they're a little out of my price range so when I was having a little browse on Office last week and came across a pair in the sale for £32 (down from £78) I was chuffed to bits! I know it's not really the season to be buying boots but I couldn't resist such a bargain.

They can work in various styles with skinnies, denim shorts and even dresses as I suggested in my previous post with a little boho dress- very Sienna! Can't wait to rock them! ;)

It's all boho

I've always loved boho, mostly since Sienna Miller appeared on the scene in all her bohemian beautifulness quite a few years ago. The boho smock dress is one of my summer faves and I've got my eye on a few currently.
This was is gorgeous from Zara TRF.

This black denim one is from Topshop.

Love the colour of this one from Zara.

Also from Zara. Loving the Aztec print.

So there's just a few of my faves. Perfect for everyday summer wear with sandals or a festival with a leather jacket and some biker boots or even wellies. Note-  A smock dress is not just for pregnancy so get your boho on! ;)

Trench love

I'm really loving this seasons trench coat trend. Slightly longer than usual and a little more lightweight. To be honest I didn't think it would look right on me but when I tried one on in Paris last week (yes Paris- get me!) I really loved it. It can be worn in many ways too. I've gone for a casual look here but with heels and a dress, on a night out, would look superb!

Coat and jeans- Zara • Shoes- Primark • tshirt- Topshop.

Topshop shirt jacket

Recently I did a post about needing a new casual jacket and it was a toss up between the Topshop bomber jacket or the khaki authentic shirt jacket also from Topshop. So, I decided and went for the shirt jacket. There's some slight confusion with the pics on the website as there are two different models wearing two different jackets- mega head screw. I ordered it anyway and it happens to not be the one I posted about recently however I do really like it so will be keeping it.

This is that jacket I received.

As opposed to this jacket which I thought I was getting.

This is the turn out. I really like it. It looks great with a plain tee or a  striped Breton and looks great fastened up too.

I defo made the right choice. Wearing it today with jeans and leopard flats :)
