Suns out, shoulders out

It's been a scorcher this week so the shoulders have been out over here! The off the shoulder "Bardot" neckline (named after Hollywood icon Brigitte Bardot) has been a summer favourite for a while now and for all the right reasons. It's classy, sexy, cool and easy to work and style. A big winner for me.

BB working this gorgeous off the shoulder top with ties. A timeless look!

(Another) Mini Primark Haul

Ok so I may have been rummaging in Primark again. I did have to get some bras, which I actually got this time, but obviously no one ever leaves Primarni with one thing. So here goes...

Stripe, cotton and pockets are three of my favourite things and so when I saw these little shorts for a fiver I had to have.

Now, I accidently picked up a size 8 instead of a 12 so, even though they look ok, I imagine my real size would have a slightly baggier look so that's something to bare in mind if your interested in grabbing a pair. Anyway, they look great with a white tee or shirt for a casual summer look with tan sandals or espadrilles.

Secondly this over sized tote bag. Love the print and woven texture. Great for chucking everything into, especially if you're a Mom, perfect for days out with the kids during summer hols. That's what I'll be using it for anyway ;) (£9 and found in the beach section).

Next is home. So many lovely little bits and I picked up these three but could have got more.

A cactus cushion, yes who does not want a cactus cushion? Lots of little plaques to choose from, I chose this for my boys room incase they're thinking about being grumpy :) and lastly, little pinapple candle because well it's a pinapple and it smells divine. Great for a little gift.

Ok so it wasn't that big a haul but some good little bargains found.

Keeping it short and sweet tonight. Thanks for reading, hope you're enjoying the heat! X

Gettin' Skirty

So as you will know I am totally a jeans gal. My skinnies are the most worn thing in my wardrobe but lately I am lusting after skirts. All the skirts, denim, button down, pleated, tulle.. You name it.

They are a really versatile item. only problem I have is keeping on top of my tan ;)

Denim

Denim skirts have been on trend for decades so I see them as an investment piece. I love all of this looks, worn with a jumper, sneakers or dressed up with an off the shoulder top and sandals.

Wearing this warehouse one I bought last year with a denim shirt tucked in a neckerchief from ASOS

July wishlist

First of all hello July, it's not going too  well with all the rain but I'm feeling hopeful. As its a new month, It's time for a little wishlist, well actually this one is pretty big as there are so many things I'm loving at the moment.

So let's get started..

Dress- Topshop • Sandals- ASOS • Bracelet- ASOS

I am seriously obsessing over this leopard dress right now however I can't justify the purchase until I have somewhere fancy to go to wear it. Although it would look great with the ASOS sandals for a daytime look when the weather warms up a little. I have actually purchased the ASOS sandals and they're just what i was hoping for. Smart, comfy and go with anything.

Jeans also ASOS which I have cut and the Bottom to give them the frayed edge.

Gingham top- Mango • Jeans- Mango • Slides- ASOS • Sweatshirt- Selfish Mother

I have ordered the top and jeans from Mango so there will pics to follow and reviews to follow. The slides I've had in my basket for a while, really need these for super casual days along with this Mother sweatshirt.

I happened to stumble across this shop on Instagram "Olive clothing" and I basically want everything! But as that's unrealistic I have picked these few.

So many gorgeous things, if you haven't already go check it out.

The top end of my wishlist has to be this realisation par wrap dress (yes it seems I have a thing for a wrap dress currently). A little steeper in price than the other dresses but I'm pretty sure it will be worth the buy.

And last but not least, a mini Topshop wishlist. Loving these blouses and can all be worn casually and for dressed up which is what I mostly aim for when shopping these days.

All from Topshop. Left- click here • Top right- click here • Bottom right- click here

So there you have it. A few of the things I'm eyeing up. If I actually do get round to buying some of these keep a look out for the follow up post.

Thanks for reading- have a great week ahead!
